Calling the Quits

Went to the movies last night. Not my usual kind of movie, but it was rather enjoyable and relaxing. And I've noticed that no matter what movies they are, there's always something to take away, like a catch; like the moral of the story, or "I shall return!".. etc.

In the movie. Sandra Bullock eventually quit on the proposal and called off the wedding. Because *as expectedly* she fell in love with Ryan Reynolds, and she can no longer bear the thoughts of spoiling his life for her own sake. But by quitting, the family realised that she really loves him, because otherwise she wouldn't have quit and left him. And tada.. the happily ever after ending.

This movie reminds me of Paul Arden's books. "Whatever you think, think the opposite", in which his said, "Resign. It's the way to show you mean business". If you know you're constantly fighting a battle and losing, maybe it's time to let go.
