The Business Cycle


I do agree that we are truly in a recession right now, some would even call it a depression (ref to below for definitions). 


“A recession is when your neighbor loses his job; a depression is when you lose your job”

However, most people see the downturn being all doom and gloom - I disagree.

There's a reason for it. 
Everything goes through cycles (ref to Business Cycle Diagram) and it is sometimes necessary, because when an economy emerges from a recession/depression, prices will be readjusted, businesses will become leaner and meaner.. and the reality is that the weaker and the unprepared will disappear, while the strong ones survive and new one emerges. 

Almost like a cycle to ensure the continuity, progressiveness of life. Such is life isn't, I mean you certainly wouldn't want to go back to paying loads for internet and mobile phones? So why now?
